Our cooking of Thai cuisine originated from within the family. Being from Thailand and living there for many years, we decided to start selling BBQ snacks on a market stall in 1992 in northern Thailand. We didn't know it yet, but that was the moment Thai2Go was born.

Half of our family is from Thailand and half is from England. After selling snacks at a stall in Thailand, we returned to England, opening one of the first Thai restaurants in Gloucestershire. We gave birth to our daughter a few years later, destining her to become part of the restaurant!

As Covid hit we know it affected everyone, some more than others, but fortunately we were able to continue providing our authentic food to the wonderful people in our home town of Painswick, supporting our local community and further afield from our very own purpose build kitchen at home. We organised takeaways over the course of the first 2020 lockdown, and we were amazed at the response we received!

After the response to our home takeaways, we saw an opportunity arising in Five Valleys, Merrywalks Stroud to set up shop, so we went for it! A brand new renovation of the well-known indoor space in the heart of Stroud is now packed with us at Thai2Go, as well as many other food servers and shops. We have a passion for cooking, and we are excited to see what the future holds for Thai2Go.
